What to send with your first message

Five lines turn an enquiry into a quotable order. Without them the answer is a thread of follow-up questions, because each one changes the price.

1. Destination port

Charcoal moves as UN 1361 dangerous goods, so the discharge port decides which lines can carry it to you and what the routing costs.
2. Shape and size

A 20 ft container cubes out before it weighs out, so the shape you order sets how much fits in it. Custom sizes are made to order — send the dimensions you need.
3. Volume and timing

How many containers, and the date you need them on the water. Minimum order is one full container load.
4. Packaging

Your own carton artwork or ours. The master carton is 10 kg net for every shape, and packaging design is free.
5. Incoterm

EXW Factory is the default here and CFR is available on some orders. The choice is not only commercial: under EXW the buyer is the dangerous-goods declarant — see who signs charcoal's DG declaration under FOB, CIF or EXW.
