About Coco Reina: the factory, the people, the numbers
By Mohamad Sinno, Charcoal Expert · Last updated
Every number on this page is either a registry number you can look up yourself, or a value from our own operating records. Where we have no record, the line is missing rather than estimated.
Who we are
PT Coco Reina Global Charcoal — trade name PT. Coco Reina Global Charcoal Indonesia, short form Coco Reina — is the Indonesian exporter of record for coconut shell charcoal briquettes, produced at its own site. Coco Reina has been making and exporting coconut shell charcoal since 2014. The exporting company today is PT Coco Reina Global Charcoal, incorporated in Jakarta on 20 November 2025.
We sell B2B wholesale by the full container load. There is no shop and no retail channel. Indicative per-tonne prices are published on the pricing page, and a binding price comes on a proforma invoice for your order. Our charcoal is declared and shipped as UN 1361, CARBON of animal or vegetable origin, Class 4.2, Packing Group III. We make no "DG-exempt" or "non-hazardous" claim for it — since IMDG Amendment 42-24 became mandatory on 1 January 2026, no such claim is available to any charcoal exporter.

The numbers, verified
These are the operating figures we hold a record for. Read them as the terms of doing business with this factory, not as a scale boast — the metrics an exporter usually leads with are deliberately absent below.
| What | Value |
|---|---|
| Minimum order | 1 × FCL (20 ft or 40 ft) |
| Production lead time | 15 working days (20 ft) · 20 working days (40 ft) — excludes packaging, QC and vessel booking |
| Port of loading | Jakarta (Tanjung Priok) primary; Semarang also used |
| Incoterms offered | EXW Factory, FOB Tanjung Priok and CFR |
| Dangerous-goods class | UN 1361, Class 4.2, Packing Group III |
| Weathering before stuffing | ≥14 days raw-material curing + ≥14 days post-production hold — ≥28 days total |
On EXW terms the buyer carries the dangerous-goods declarant burden, which is a real obligation on a Class 4.2 cargo rather than a formality. Raise it before you agree an incoterm, not after the booking.
What we deliberately do not publish
Monthly production capacity, containers shipped to date, number of export markets and headcount are all absent from this page. We have no audited or measured record for any of them, and a number no one can check is worth less to a buyer than an honest gap. The same rule governs the rest of the site: figures appear with a source, or they do not appear.
Export track record
Two different facts, kept apart on purpose. As a first-party record, four ocean carriers have accepted this factory's dangerous-goods bookings — MSC and CMA CGM since January 2026, Maersk since March 2026, and PIL since June 2026. That is practical acceptance of bookings; no formal approved-shipper document exists and none is claimed. Separately, it has shipped UN 1361 FCL with MSC from Jakarta and Semarang, and with Maersk, CMA CGM and PIL from Jakarta. Approval is a carrier's assessment of a shipper; a shipping record is what has actually moved. Neither implies the other, and neither is a certification.
In December 2025 one booking was rejected for an incomplete weathering certificate. The factory completed and resubmitted it, and the booking cleared in one day. That is worth stating because it dates from before IMDG 42-24 was mandatory: carrier enforcement ran ahead of the Code, and an exporter who had not already built the paperwork discipline would have lost far more than a day.
The people
Mohamad Sinno, Charcoal Expert, is the author and reviewer of the technical content published here, and the person who answers on the shipment documents this site explains. Content that carries a name is content someone can be asked about — which is the point of putting a name on it.
He does not review his own regulatory work: shipping and customs pages go to a shipping specialist, quality and production claims to the Head of QC. Who they are, what each one checks before a page publishes, where our figures may and may not come from, and how often every subject is re-checked — our experts and editorial standards.
Contact for the rest of the team runs through one channel rather than a directory of personal numbers: WhatsApp +628213924038, or export@coconutcharcoal.org.
Verify us
Anyone can write "established manufacturer" on a website. What follows is the set of identifiers that let you confirm this company exists and matches the entity named on the invoice you will be asked to pay. They do not show a registration to make this product: the NIB lists wholesale-trade business codes only, with no manufacturing classification, and the production site at Gunung Sindur is described from our own records and verified by visiting it. Check them before you send a deposit — to us or to anyone else.
The documents behind those identifiers — our registrations and every laboratory report we hold, each with its number and issuer, plus an explicit list of what we do not hold — are on our document library, and how to verify each one.
| Identifier | Ours | Check it against |
|---|---|---|
| Legal entity name | PT Coco Reina Global Charcoal | Kemenkumham AHU, the legal-entity registry — ahu.go.id |
| Production site | KP. Wahiya RT.002 RW.004, Desa Gunung Sindur, Kec. Gunung Sindur, Bogor, Jawa Barat 16340, Indonesia | The address printed on our proforma invoice and export declaration, and the map pin |
Read the KBLI code off the register, not off our website
Indonesian companies are classified by KBLI code, and the code tells you what a company is actually registered to do. The KBLI 2020 class covering our product is 20115, Industri Kimia Dasar Organik Yang Bersumber Dari Hasil Pertanian — its official scope names arang batok kelapa and briket arang batok kelapa, coconut shell charcoal and coconut shell charcoal briquettes. Indonesian charcoal exporters commonly operate as a trading entity — a wholesale code on the exporter's NIB is normal; what you verify is the entity, its documents and its site. Ours are wholesale codes, and our production site is the one named on this page.
The codes actually registered against our NIB are printed on the NIB record itself. Ask the export desk for that record and read them off it — that is a stronger check than any claim we could make here, including this one.
What we do not hold
We hold no ISO certificate, no third-party factory-audit certificate and no UN packaging certification of our own today, and we will not name one we do not hold. Where you see EN 1860-2 mentioned on this site, it is a barbecue-charcoal standard buyers ask about — not a certificate we carry. Any supplier, us included, should be asked for the issuer, number, year and a verification route for every certificate they claim; a scan with no issuer contact proves nothing.
What we can put in front of you instead is the per-shipment paperwork: which documents a charcoal DG shipment needs and who issues each sets out the dangerous-goods declaration, safety data sheet, weathering certificate and vanning survey, and who signs each one.
Visit or video-tour
The production site is in Gunung Sindur, Bogor, West Java — a separate address from our registered office in North Jakarta. It is roughly an hour from central Jakarta by road, and the map pin below is the real gate — not a district-level marker.
To arrange an on-site visit or a live video walkthrough of the yard and packing line, message the export desk on WhatsApp and say which you want and when. Buyers who cannot travel usually ask for the walkthrough first and the sample second. What the visit covers and what to ask to watch is set out on visit the factory.

Registry numbers are published so they can be checked at source; the registers above are authoritative, this page is not. Classification and document requirements described here are general information on charcoal export, not legal or dangerous-goods advice.
